Shenandoah National Park, Virginia is just 75 miles away from the US capital! If you are near DC and you are a nature lover, pack your bags and go! The park can offer beautiful light hikes around the many waterfalls and the peaceful wilderness. If you are more into advance hiking, I recommend you take the eight-mile trail to Old Rag Mountain.The park has four campgrounds and for all four of them i’ll say only one word, beautiful! But beauty is equal to danger, so beware of snakes and bears.
