The drift snow can be brutal, should be seen in landscape. I was on my annual winter trip in Sarek, a place in northern Sweden. It had snowed and been windless for many days. Then came the storm and finally the wind-packed snow. But when I was lying on a slope with a snow wall, I got a lot of drift snow, so I had to dig out the tent afterwards. The trip lasted for fourteen days. Before the snow was packed with wind, I only came a few kilometers per day, after this day I could suddenly ski twenty kilometers / day. The temperature varied from -26 degrees Celsius to +7 degrees Celsius and rain.
