For my cakeday I present- Canyonlands, Labyrinth A. No shade, but what a backdrop! : camping

Just rolled back into the home base after 3 nights here last week. Hotter than the Devil’s gooch. The lack of shade was only remidiated by a now much flimsier ez up canopy since the ground is all rock. My tent floor has holes from the giant rock I used to weigh down one corner.

This was one of the most epic and beautiful places I’ve ever had the pleasure of camping- we had the place literally all to ourselves, seeing only a few people each day. This is largely due to it’s location, the far end of the White Rim Trail.
